device contact table caps at 250 — when full, the oldest non-favorite contacts (least recent advert) are deleted from the radio to make room. favorites (★) are never deleted.

accepts a meshcore:// contact uri (SEND ADVERT > COPY TO CLIPBOARD format) or a raw 64-hex public key (spaces/colons ok, assumed chat node). manually-added contacts route by flood until a path is learned — DMs stay PENDING until that node is on-air and acks.
sends a zero-hop advert on the interval while this page is connected — keeps direct neighbors fresh without flooding the mesh.

AUTO-RETRYUNACKED MESSAGES
when a DM gets no ack, re-send it automatically (short pause between tries) — each re-send gives the recipient's radio a fresh chance to ack back. helps when messages deliver but acks don't make the return trip. channel messages have no acks and are unaffected.
